Edited Text

The most basic type of flashcard is text, but with Virtual FlashCards 2.1, this text is in a rich format allowing parts to be Bold, Italic, Underline, Superscript, Subscript, different sizes, and different fonts.  First, to make a card Text (which is default), click the "ABC" to the right of the card you want to change (circled in the image above).  Then simply enter the text on that card.  To change the attributes of text, select the text you want to change, and then in the palette on the bottom left of the screen, press the B, I, U, AB or AB corresponding with the attribute you want to change.  You may also enter a fontsize or select a font from the dropdown list, useful for different languages.  Color can be selected by clicking anywhere on the color swatches.  Options to ignore spaces and capitalization help you answer the card correctly if you are "close enough" when studying.

One other feature to note is that if you want to add an accent to a letter (á for example), type the letter followed by the accent key (above the Tab key).  This would normally look like a` but Virtual FlashCards automatically converts it to an accented letter for you.
